My Schedule???

On of my favorite bloggers Repunzel's Castle typed out her daily (at least Monday through Friday) schedule. Lots of people have commented on my blog about all the different things that I do..and have asked how I get them done... well here is your chance to get a glimpse into my glamorous (NOT!) world!

Morning Routine:

0445 - Alarm starts shrieking
0446 - I hit husband on the back until he hits the snooze button.
0452 - Shrieking alarm goes off again and although I make dear husband hit the snooze again ..I eventually get up before the ear torture goes off yet another time.

I now have until 0530 to get my clothes and make up on, my lunch made and plant myself into my car. Most of this time is usually spent standing in my closet, staring at my clothes and wishing I had not indulged in that extra cookie!

0535 - If I am on time, I am driving down the driveway. 99.9% of the time DH and dog Chrissy walk me down the stairs to waive good bye.

0700 - Target time to make it to work..which I always do unless there is horrific traffic.

0700-1530 Work on a computer all day. When it is slow, I write my stories for Saddle and Bridle Magazine, check my favorite blogs or do what I am doing now! I also pay bills and make endless lists of things I need to do, buy, tell someone, or whatever else I don't want to forget. I also try very hard to walk the parking lot on my lunch time - but I have to admit..sometimes I have to go out to my car and just take a nap!

1530-1700 - drive back to the farm ...but also do any errands. Yesterday I had to stop at Lowes to pick up extra fencing lumber and go by the feed store to buy roughly 800 pounds of feed!

1700- until dark. Get home, open barn, let out inside dogs - who by now have their little legs crossed because they have to pee so badly! Start the sprinklers because it is so dag blasted hot. I feed 8 of these:

5 of these:

4 of these:

and keep this from eating all the barn cat food!

Next I unloaded the truck, moved the sprinklers, picked fruit and veggies from the garden, pulled some weeds...and if I have time, I might ride one of the horses..

..until I run out of daylight!

2100 - Unconscienceness. Went upstairs ..starting to feel lethargic by now..ate something for dinner (can't remember), took a bath while talking to pregnant daughter on the phone (multi-tasking..but I don't think my face ever got washed!), tried to gather some clean clothes for a road trip I am taking Friday night and then fell into bed.

How can I do all of this you ask?? It is because I don't have any more of these living at the house:

Dreaming ....again!

I am currently working on a small outside building project - but since I am not done..you don't get to see it yet!

..so I am left to dream about the other projects I still want to build...like this green house!I am very picky about certain things. They need to be functional...but they MUST be eye pleasing as well.

My Favorite Thing

Cindy at My Romantic Home is hosting a Show and Tell Event so we can display one our very favorite "things".

It was hard to choose just one, but today, this is mine! This is an antique painting, created in the early 1900's mirroring one of my favorite famous works of art entitled The Emperor's Horses.

A Dog Story

I want to introduce you to Lily. Lily is a very special dog...

..Highly bred, she is the daughter of Wiggle-B-Chrissy and...

Kiss Me KC..

Lily owns and loves this family, Daren, Emily and Madison Snyder. What makes Lily so special though is this little story:

For all of her life, Lily was allowed the luxury of sleeping in the big master bed, going and doing pretty much as she pleased...until one special day. On that day, Emily and Daren brought home a peculiar creature. It smelled kind of like them, sounded like them, but was much much smaller than they were.

Somehow Lily knew that it was her mission in life to protect this small person and from that very day, she gave up the soft pillow top mattress and slept beneath the crib. Lily's eyes are never far from the child and she is always ready to assist in any way she can....even if that means being a stepping stool or a chair!

Hurricane Dolly!

Hurricane Dolly increased to a Category 2 right before turning a bit North and slamming into South Padre Island...the place that we chose to vacation last month. This leaves Don and I wondering.....

...what they do with the turtles at the Sea Turtle Rescue Center?

...an Amazing Sunset!

Yesterday was a wonderful day! I get to work the early shift since my work-mate is on vacation for the next 2 weeks and I get off at 3:30PM. Don had the day off, so when I got home, we geared up and went riding on our bikes. We found some new back roads that had lots of fun curves and beautiful views....

...but nothing rivaled the view of the sunset that evening when we returned to the farm!We just stood there and stared at it in awe!

Looking to a Fall Garden!

The garden is bursting forth with summer fruit and vegetables. I am still overwhelmed with the amount of tomatoes we have grown! This year has also yielded a large harvest of green beans, cantaloupe, and honeydew melons...but now it is time to think about the fall garden.

This year I have planted 3 different kinds of pumpkins. The regular medium sized jack-o-lanterns...

...little Baby Boo pumpkins and Lumina white pumpkins too!I love to decorate with pumpkins inside and out. A large harvest and lots of fall decor will make me smile every time I turn into our drive.

The 2ndBirthday Party

This is Madison's birthday outfit!

Her party was held in a beautiful pool house with access to both a playground and a big pool. She is sitting with her Momma who is expecting another baby in just a few weeks.

Opening gifts was fun.

This is one happy girl!

She loved getting new clothes.

..until she started to open the toys!

Here is a hand painted jewelry box I bought for her...

..that had a little surprize inside. I think she liked it.

Oh Boy...Markers!

The cake was adorable...

..but Madison was much more interested in eatting it than having everyone sing to her.

The big boys entertained themselves playing pool after they ate...

..until it was time to go swim! What a little covergirl she is!

Playing Dolls With Madison

First you get Dolly.
Then you use Aunt Joy as a bed.

Now you cover up Dolly and..

..kiss her good night.

Now you kiss Aunt Joy good night and..

...now Aunt Joy has to kiss Dolly good night!
When a Dolly looks this bad, you know it has been loved a lot!
