Retail Therapy...

Ummm - well as you know, I have had a few hic-ups of emotional stress lately and I won't lie...I used retail therapy to soothe my aching heart. It works ...for a few minutes anyway! Here is what I bought:

Fell in love with this jacket when I saw it!

The next 2 items will be altered, if possible, to be used as sidesaddle costume jackets. If, when I get them, I find that they cannot be altered for that - well, I like them enough to just use them as they are!

Thank God for E-bay though. I picked up each of these items for a song. I guess with the slower economy, not as many people are shopping on e-bay.

Watches I Would LOVE to Own

Ralph Lauren is coming out with a line of equestrian inspired watches in the shape of a stirrup. I LOVE it....but with a starting price of $8800.00 it is HIGHLY unlikely that it will be gracing my arm!

This horse shoe watch design is made Catena. It is also WAY over a thousand dollars...but a girl can dream - huh???

...and not wanting to be selfish....these would look so awesome on Don!

Every Once in a While...

I see something fashionable in a magazine that makes me stop and say WOW - that is elegant. This did just that when I saw it! (the coat - not the bag!)

Purses...Most I Can Not Afford..

..but that does not stop me from looking at this weekender bag..

...which I did my best to break this weekend..

...while moving some very heavy things...

I hate to report that it actually feels worse than it looks...

I am almost mad at my foot for not being black and blue!

..because when I put too much weight on it, it feels like someone is stabbing it with a knife!..now - there is another good reason to stay on my diet!

Fashion - Dresses!

Okay - I admit it.....I LOVE clothes!!! There I said it! Even though I have found georgous items at resale and thrift stores, it does not stop me from looking and even buying from retail stores.

I especially adore dresses.

It amazes me when women tell me that they rarly wear dresses anymore...

..or that they don't wear them at all!

Nothing says "girl" more than a dress...

...and a great pair of shoes...

...but shoes will have to be another post!<

Fashion!

I don't want all of my posts to be about diets...so lets talk about fashion for a moment. I love jackets and here are just a few that are in style now that I adore!

This one would look equally nice over a dress or alone as a top with pants..don't you think?

This reminds me of a trench coat that has been cropped!

This is a softer knit jacket that would compliment a pastel colored skirt...maybe something long and flowing.

I saved my favorite for last! This would look amazing with a long pencil skirt and a silk blouse beneath...but a trim figure is a must for this outfit! Is it okay to drop a hint to a possible spying husband that I WANT THIS SWEATER?
