Good Grief!

While we were on our cruise and I was dressing for a formal dinner, I chose to wear a low backed black dress. I did a once over look in the mirror before we left our room and noticed a lump on my back. It was just to the left of my spine. Reaching back to try and touch it was difficult due to its location. I decided not to worry about it though and waited until we got home.

It was still there when we returned, so I made an appointment with my General Practitioner. He looked at it and said it was too deep to do anything in the office and he wanted me to go and see a Specialist. Uggghh..

So a week later I was in Dr. Yee's office and he said that he thought it was a Lipoma - in essence a Fat tumor. Harmless, but it is fairly deep and close to my spine.. so this Thursday I am going to have it removed.

Don's next doctors appointment in tomorrow. Hopefully we will get his next surgery scheduled. He has to get another endoscope, colonoscopy, and an umbilical hernia repaired. After he heals from that, he will start another year of chemotherapy.

Oh, boy. All I can say is I REALLY hope you guys have good health insurance... :-( I'm sorry you have to have that operation done, and I truly hope Don's procedures will go well and finally "fix" him!
