Whew...Close Call..

Thank you Jesus! Madison only has a severe case of the stomach flu.

When I arrived at the hospital, she had a tiny little IV in her arm and she was playing with some stickers the nurses gave her. She had received meds for nausea, fever, and abdominal pain. She was drinking some kind of dye and waiting to have a CT scan done. ...and she kept belching LOUDLY.. Something like that would not bother me if it was not for the fact that when Joy had her first of many kidney stones, she too had dry heaves and would belch.

I was so very proud of Madison. She laid completely still as she went through the ct machine. She had to hold her hands over her head while laying on her back - strapped to the gurney. I reached into the machine and held her hands and I talked to her while she was getting it done. (I guess there is an up-side to getting a hysterectomy...nothing to fry with radioactive procedures!) Anyway - the nurse told her she was the very best 4 year old she had ever worked with!

Sadly, again late last night I heard from Emily and Madison's fever had again spiked up. They were getting ready to put her in a cool tub of water. I am sure they are exhausted... but ever so thrilled that it was not more serious than that!

Thank you so much for your prayers!! (((Hugs)))

I am glad Madison is not seriously ill. I do hope that she feels better soon. No fun for a little one to be sick. Downright scary actually. I hope all is well with you.

So glad it isn't serious even though it may feel like it to Madison and her parents. Now, you relax and go enjoy that cruise. Thinking about you and Don. xoxo

Praising God that it wasn't as serious as you thought. It's still sad though that's she's sick.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Kat

That's good news Julie, not that she has the stomach flu, but that she doesn't need surgery. Hope she is back on her feet soon.

Glad to hear Madison that it's not kidney stones. Poor little thing! She was really so brave going through that machine. What a trooper!!!
