Horse Cookies

Ever get this response from your horse?

Never Again...IF you show up with a few of these in your pocket!

Horse Cookies

1 cup of oatmeal
1 cup of flour
1 cup of shredded carrots
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
2 tablespoons of vegetable
1/4 cup of molasses
1/4 cup of water

Mix ingredients as listed. Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. I usually double or triple this recipe...but then we have 8 horses on the farm right now!

Okay - I admit it...I will even eat these cookies!!!

Love this, the recipe sounds yummy! Which reminds me that I used to have a vintage space in a store where they sold homemade dog bisquits and when they first came out of the oven, before they were dried, while still hot and moist... we would all eat them. Made with people food, they tasted like pizza dough. Ahhh memories.
How could any smart horse resist?
Glad you're feeling better!

We brought home a new horse this weekend so I'll have to give those cookies a try. And, yes, they do sound good enough to eat some for myself.
