Decoupage..

I want to learn how to decoupage.

The actual process seems to be quite simple..

The difference between something that is exquisite or ho-hum looking is more about design than technique.

It seems that there is nothing that can't be changed with decoupage..

..big or small.

holiday or everyday..

Don has a friend who gives us cigar boxes. That is what I want to start with. I can use the boxes for small horse show items or stationary boxes..but that is going to be my first task.

Look at these unique planters!

I used to do this, in the 70's. It is an easy craft to learn. These images are beautiful!

Check out John Derien if you want to see great decoupage. Also there's a man out of Kansas City who's got a whole website, etc. with instructions, videos and supplies. Durwin Rice, I think.

I am with Pat, I used to decoupage in the 70's. It was popular back then and seems to be making a come back.
It can really change a look.

My housemate used to do decoupage. I remember her buying wicker baskets and things, spray painting them white, and using decorative, themed napkins, as her paper. She would then take a calligraphy pen or an artist brush with and make highlights on the decoupage. Made beautiful seasonal baskets for holidays. I think you will enjoy it immensely. Anita found it to be an artistic release.

My mom used to decoupage. She did some lovely stuff. I tried it but it wasn't for me.

I love the look of decoupage, but have not tried it. I have bought some decoupage stuff, but it is still sitting there. I think I need some bravery to get started.
