Even More Good News!

Just in case you have never met her...this is our youngest daughter - Joy.

Joy is 25 years old, graduated from college 3 years ago with a double business degree and secured a really good job. Since then she has lived in apartments or condos, with and without room mates. Lots of her belongings were destroyed when the roof of her former apartment collapsed during Hurricane Ike. Well guess what? My baby just bought her first house!

She looked at so many in so many different neighborhoods - it started to confuse me..but when she saw this house, she knew she wanted it.

It was in very good condition for being a foreclosure and since it was a 'short sell' from the bank that owned it, it was very reasonably priced. The only difficulty... the bank took bids from many people before decided which one to accept.....and her bid won! It has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, all bedrooms are upstairs, and the neighborhood is AMAZING!

Hi Julie:
Your daughter is gorgeous. Congratulations to her for buying her first home. And what a nice looking home it is too. Is it close by to you and Don?
This is the daughter that had the roof come down in her apt. right?
(during the storm). I wish her much happiness in her home. It will be so much fun buying furniture and decorating it over time.

Hello Julie, I just happened upon your blog and love it. We have much in common - I live on a farm and love antiques, animals, art, gardening... I am a crazy gardener and it is supposed to snow tonite. I made a garden house out of old windowpanes shown on my blog. What kind of sheep is Roman. I thought he was a goat. Loved the pics of him. I look forward to following your blog.

Julie, I thought I would stop by before I went to visit the sandman and see how Don is doing. Glad you had good news and even more good news about your daughter. Her home is gorgeous and now is the time for buyers to get good deals. Even my daughter with her huge house is looking to buy in Vancouver, Wa. and rent her house out to college students. Prayers for Don and for you. Love the lamb in the fields of bluebonnets. Love and Hugs, Pat
