VERY EXCITING NEWS!!!

I found out last week that I am now the newest regional editor for Saddle and Bridle magazine!!! I have written several articles for them in the past. I guess you could have called me a contributing editor, but I am so thrilled to say that I am now on staff!!! My first show to cover is the Texas State Fair in Dallas, Texas from the 13th to the 16th of September...LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AWAY!!! I will also be covering shows in Louisiana and in Oklahoma. This is a dream come true for me.

I seem to remember going to the TX State Fair when I was a young'n...wasn't there a huge cowboy at the gates?...that is the only thing I remember about the fair, since I was so young! I imagine the fair is at a different location now...it was so llllooonnnggg ago!

Fantastic Julie! Congrats! I'm waaay behind in checking my blog friends. So happy for you, I know you must be excited. Can I please add you to my blog friends? And, you are welcome to put me on yours.
I was "horse crazy" growing up, as many little girls were. Do you train horses too? Thanks for sharing all the info about table settings, etc.

Congratulations Julie!! This is wonderful news! You are living my dream...to write for a magazine you love and admire.

With regards to your slipcover for the armless chair and ottoman, can you reupholster it yourself? If not, a pretty pillowcase might be able to be slipped over the back of the chair and then the seat part could be recovered. Just a thought...it's hard to know without seeing it.
