I Just Had...

..to share with you my Grand Daughter's (Madison) very first 'official' riding lesson! Madison just celebrated her 5Th birthday and Don and I gave her a riding helmet, gloves, riding shirts and a gift certificate to take lessons at a local barn. They live in Mississippi. One of my girlfriends bought Madison the riding pants. Here she is all decked out!

Learning to use the mounting block.. even though she still looks a bit small beside the pony.

No comment because the expression on her face SAYS IT ALL!

WOW - she is learning how to post...

..and by golly, I think shes got it!

Here is the You Tube Video (taken before she was posting) .. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YG43VdqhMRw

The picture of her face is priceless! Oh My goodness, this brings back so many memories of when my daughter had her first lesson. So Cool!! I'm very glad you shared this with us. I sure needed the smile!

Ooh, how cute! I find it hard to believe I was the same age when I started lessons. I was the youngest student they'd ever allowed at my barn, but I was raring to go. They put me on everything from a Chincoteague pony to a Belgian draft cross and I didn't care a bit. I think Madison has definitely been bitten by the bug! :-)

I have to ask, what kind of helmet is that? It's really nice! I'm hankerin' for a new one...

O, Julie...she is sooo precious...and sooo tiny. I know you are thrilled to death that she is learning to do something that YOU love doing.
Good good luck to her.
And, how is THE HUNK doing? Sure hope he is feeling better every day.
And, YOU? Hope your cruise made you feel *like a new woman. :))
hugs, bj
