The Renovated Veggie Garden

Okay - so it is obviously NOT done yet..but I thought these pictures would give you an idea of the concept! I enlarged it from 16x14 to 24x24. Instead of using 1x12's, I opted for 2x12's. Hopefully they will last longer...and yes the details. I always get hooked on the details!

That's going to be a great size for a garden. I love that the horses are standing by watching.

Back when I was a teen, I asked my dad to plow a piece of land so I could have a veggie garden. So he did, he plowed up TWO ACRES. This was a little odd in suburbia back in the late 60's and early '70's. I cut down on the grocery bill as a result and the savings were given to me as an allowance, which I spent on my horses. I also sold any extra in a road stand, to my classmates parents, my teachers, my neighbors and my parents co workers. As an added bonus, my dad knew where I was every moment of my waking day, either with my hunters or working for their upkeep in my veggie garden.

Looks like you're all ready, but what can you plant right now? Looks like your beautiful horses will stand watch for you.

How's Don doing?

Hugs!
