THAT is totally awesome! How do you make it and what materials do you need? I really love the look of this.

That looks really cool! Reminds me of an open artichoke or maybe an open pine cone. If you make it, you need to show us how you did it.

Very cool. How ever would it be done, though?

Have you ever heard of Sailor's Valentines'? They were very popular during Victorian times. Sailors would give them to their sweethearts at home. It used to be believed that the sailors would make the valentines during their long voyages. It is now believed that the sailors bought them in Barbados. The valentines are quite lovely.
I have also seen shell flower arrangements. If you get some glue, a bag of small shell and some florist wire and tape, you should be able to make your own flowers. This craft was way popular back in the late '60's and early '70's. You don't really need instructions as much as you need to know what flowers look like. You use the shells as your media. Little white snail shells, look sort of like flower buds, glue them on the wire on alternating sides and wrap wire with green floral tape. A bunch of tusk shells arranged like daisy petals looks, well, like daisies.
It's not too hard and you can put it down with out fear of dropping a stitch.

Unique. Now, I know another thing to do with my sea shells we collected on vacation this year.

I really like this. I'm always looking for shell and beachy things.
