Saying Good-bye is so Painful...

This is Blondie - registered name Mike's Choice. She was my first show horse and was a mare who really taught me how to ride. I said 'was' because today she had to be put down. She suffered a terrible case of colic with a twisted small intestine.......Blondie was 21 years old - almost 22. The picture above is us winning the Fast Racking class at a TASHA show. She was 20 in that photo. My heart is so sore right now. Please excuse me if I do not blog for a while....

Hi Julie:
My eyes are tearing up as I read this. I am so sorry to read that you had to put your beautiful horse down, I can only imagine how heartbreaking that is for you.
And with your poor dog fighting for her health...you don't need any more heartaches. Please accept my sympathy, it comes from the bottom of my heart.

I am so sorry for your terrible loss. I can't even imagine how hard that must be. Horses are such wonderful gentle animals. Losing any furry companion is a tragedy. Take care..and I am so so sorry.

Julie, I am home from work today and ready to head out to the barn and decided to check on any news on your KC. I am so sorry and my heart breaks for you. Colic is a terrible issue for horses and it is always so hard when this happens especially when the horse is 20. The twisted intestine is just a terrible thing. My deepest, deepest sympathy to you.

Julie, I am so.. sorry to hear about your friend/horse. I can barely keep from crying as I read this. I know you are going to miss your friend. I understand your dog is giving the best fight she can .
Right now, my heart is breaking, too!! My dog/baby is at the vet fighting for his life. He is really like our child. I miss him so much already. He's only been at the vets office for a couple of days. We never leave him, we even take him on vacation.
Know that I am thinking of you!!

Hi Julie,
What a terrible loss. It's so hard to lose a good friend. No words can heal the hole that's left in your heart. But, someday, the beautiful memories you shared with Blondie will. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi Julie,

I am so sorry to hear about your horse. My brother-in-law raises Morgans. Never easy. You were there when I lost my 6 1/2 year old Jack Russell this summer. It is never easy and I still miss him everyday.
My heart and prayers are with you.
*Cyber hugs* from someone who truly knows what you are going through. Again I am sooo sorry for your loss.

Julie, My heart so aches for you. Blondie was just beautiful. I just went through this with my 13 year old golden retriever, Jake, two months ago. I could not eat and could not stop crying for 3 days and 3 nights straight. I could hardly even drink water...it was an awful time. You don't worry about your blog...we will be right here when you are feeling better. Take care of you, Susan
