I'm So Sorry....
..to be such a bad blogger recently. I have been covering horse shows (several out of town) and since it is the end of the month, deadlines are looming!(good photos will be posted)
My daughter Emily is here with her family, and we had a party yesterday for family and friends to come and see them.(funny story to follow!)
I am trying like crazy to squeeze in enough time to get my veggie garden planted and add to the flower garden.(lots of delicious gardening photos coming soon!)...and I have NEVER been so busy in my life!

A Bikers Paradise...
There once was a long winding road...
..that stretched from Fredericksburg to Boerne(FM 1376).
Along the way, we saw some interesting sights...is that some of Santa's Reindeer??
..an Easter Bunny pulling a covered wagon here..
...and a herd of zebra there..??
What makes a great road to go biking on? Good road surfaces, not much traffic, great views..
..sweeping curves and good shoulders are nice - but hey, you can't have everything!
It is GREAT when there is a winery along the route!
This is Sister Creek Winery, located half way between Frederickburg and Boerne in a tiny town called Sisterdale.
Yep - we bought a souvenir here!
..and back out on the road we go..

Hotel Review:
Our hotel was a Best Western. Usually (in my experience) Best Western's are not the nicest hotels in the world - but this one was very nice. It was spotless, the people were friendly, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was VERY nice...larger tub, marble vanity, not one spec of dirt, mold or hair(my pet peeves!) Landscapers were there working on the front gardens by the porch when we checked in.
Breakfast was included with the room and I would rate it as a solid B only discounting it because there was no protein. Fruit, cereal, pastries, an assortment of breads, juices, milk and even a waffle iron.
The only thing I did not like is that it was too far away from the Main street to walk and that is something I really enjoy...so next time - we will stay in another hotel - only to be within walking distance.

Frederickburg, TX.
Yippie - we are going to Frederickburg, TX. for my birthday! Only for one night - but I am so excited. I used to vacation here with my parents and I love it. Very close to Fredericksburg is a great place to hike called Enchanted Rock.
The Indians believed that Enchanted Rock was a mystical & spiritual place because it would often make cracking noises..
..the noises they heard was the rock expanding and contracting with the temperature changes though.

Purses...Most I Can Not Afford..
..but that does not stop me from looking at this weekender bag..
..or this versatile Coach..
..or dreaming of this Louis Vuitton..
or this cute summer Kate Spade bag.
Another nice Coach in red!
..humm I seem to have lost track of who designed this one.
A Roberto Cavelli - this is my favorite bag of all!
Wow - a Versace that my Mom would have loved!
..and another Roberto Cavelli
Have you heard of Rebecca Minkoff? She designed this one.
Last but never least - Classic Ralph Lauren!

Past Easter Memories!
Annie at My Life As Annie is having her Time Travel Tuesday and this week it is about Easter. Growing up Easter was ___________.
_______________
Something unique about our Easter Celebration was a wire cross our church had. It was always standing up on the floor in the center of the isle at the front of the church as bare as can be Easter Morning. Every child would bring a spring flower and at a certain point during the ceremony, we would go up to the cross and fill it in with the beautiful flowers. Mine were always roses from a neighbors yard. Ironically, the woman who owned the rose bushes kind of scared me, but she always allowed me to get these Easter roses.
We usually ate at my Grandparents house after the service and yes - I was dressed to the nines...usually something pastel colored and chiffon. It was always a very formal dinner.
One year, when Mom and I dyed Easter Eggs (real ones), I was so proud of a lavender one I made, I hid it, so no one would eat it. I hid it in my desk. A few days later, Mom was going crazy trying to hunt down what smelled so bad! Who knew??
