Thank Goodness you found my blog!

I need to know what I can plant in Houston that will not die. :)

I have been wanting to garden and have no idea where to start.

Good Afternoon Julie,
Oh my, those sure do look like some nice gifts to receive for Valentine's Day. I'm not sure what I will be getting or what I will get my DH. I told him last week I would like to go out to eat, so maybe we can this weekend. We always get the girls a little something, but I'm not sure what I will get them yet. I hope you get lots of nice things from your Valentine. I would so love to get some roses, but that will have to wait until another time. Several years ago I told my DH I wanted some roses for Valentine's Day. He was working 2nd shift at a factory and when he came home, he had bought me a box of Candy with Roses on it and told me those were my roses. I thought it was so funny. He said I could keep those roses forever. I guess he had good intentions on it and to this day, I still have the top of the box with the roses on it. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Did you get all these for Valentine's? I haven't gotten anything from hubby yet and doubt if I will. He's not the romantic type, boo woo!!

Hi Julie,
I'm visiting from Cielo's blog. I loved your comment there, so decided to drop by.

I have to say nothing for Valentine's Day. I know I sound like a bah humbug, but I like to celebrate each day if I can remind my heart to behave that way. I love all your cakes and goodies, they look so scrumptious!

I am glad you're getting back to feeling more like yourself. Having lost someone really important to me, I can relate. I think that's what I meant about Valentine's - let's try to value everyday. I'm not always good at that, but I want to make an effort to really try.

Come see me if you get a chance, I love animal people!

Beautiful treasures...I'm not expecting much for Valentines...I never do...but hubbin' always seems to surprise me with something...however, V-Day is so close to our anniversary (19th) it seems kind of unfair to expect anything...I really like when he buys me something practical...like a rose bush...something I can enjoy for years to come. Last year I got a beautiful red knock-out rose bush...and it has flourished ever since...I love it!

Now that we are moving in a year...I guess I can get him to buy all the plants I'll need to landscape our new place...that should set him back a pretty penny...and it should last for many years!

Blessings...
Teresa

I just got my sweetie a card and a piece of candy. For me, after a long day at work and getting home late, he let me put my feet up and he and the kids did the dishes and got ready for bed without me. He knows just what I want. ;-)
