Diet Monday!

Good Morning! Well - I have good news and bad news... where shall I start?

Lets get the bad news over with. For the second week in a row, I have not lost any weight :0(
weight: 135
goal: 128

The good news! Today is the first day I can wear normal shoes since I hurt my left foot(not hight heels ~ mind you)!!! All of the swelling is gone and I no longer feel pain when I put weight on it. I do still feel pressure though, so I am being cautious. I am not angry with myself for not losing weight - since I have not been able to do any cardio type exercise. I miss my walks too!

Have a wonderful week everybody!!

Good Evening Julie,
Sorry you didn't lose any weight this past week, but hopefully you will be able to this week. Just don't get discouraged. I'm glad your foot is feeling better too. Just take it easy and don't over do yourself on it. Hope you had a great weekend. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.

Hugs,
Karen H.

Boy, now I feel guilty: I should be on a diet, but instead have been making comfort food galore for my family (and inevitable, me!).

Glad to hear your foot is feeling better!

Hi Julie,

Don't beat yourself up too badly for not losing in two weeks. I'll bet you didn't gain either. Lack of exercise can sure contribute to not losing weight. You'll get back to it. I'm glad your foot is better. That's a blessing

You may have hit a bit of a plateau. Keep up the good work, you'll see a loss next time, I bet!

I had my doctor's appt yesterday. My last one was November 20. I lost 7lbs, since then, which pleased me to no end..since I've been struggling with a gain, each visit. And at my age, it has definitely been more work to lose!! Normally I have an appt every 4 months, this time it was less than that to coincide with J's appt. We always go together! I am wondering just what the magic was, for the loss this time. We'll see what happens in late May, when we have our next appts. I'm going to continue as I have been, since it seems to be working! I've had all the tests one could think of, which show I have nothing physical to blame the gain on!

Best of luck!
Pat

Keep at it girl, you will make your goal. Give yourself a break while your foot heals.

135 is great.

135 sounds pretty good to me right about now.

I haven't been by in a few days so I was sorry to read about your foot. Hope you're "up and at 'em" soon.

Hugs!

I give up things with flour for a few weeks when that happens to me. Nothing long term, just nothing with flour for a week or two.

Usually I drop 5 pounds doing that and that gets me back on track.

You may have posted this already I forget everything), but what did you do to your feet? I hurt my foot pretty badly, and while I couldn't walk on it, I worked out with a pilates video. It was awesome!!! And lifting weights will also help burn calories because muscle burns extra calories all day long.

One thing that helps me lose weight, especially when I'm within 10 pounds of my goal weight, is to make sure I eat enough fat. If you cut back on healthy fat, your body won't give up the weight. I put flaxseed oil in my food, or take flaxseed or fish oil supplements. It actually helps you lose weight.
