Totally Inspired!

I own every Victoria Magazine from the Spring issue of 1988 and I often go back and enjoy these issues over and over.

One time I was looking through this issue...

..and found this article on 3-D memory frames..

This wonderful article inspired me to create several of these collections.

This is the one I made for myself. It is a historical portrait of my Mother's parents. They were both immigrants from Sweden. Look closely and you can see the map.

My Grandmother loved to crochet lace and they were very proud to be Americans. The background of this collection is a large crocheted tribute to their nationality. Also included in this portrait is her watch, gold thimble, my Grandfather's Military picture and his favorite garnet ring.

My Father's parents were no less interesting. He a Mason, she involved in Eastern Star charity work and they both loved to travel.

They traveled the world and loved to cruise! My Grandfather loved to chart out their cruise routes - this one on Holland America. Any of you guys old enough to know who Ethel Merman and Rusell Nypes is?

Yes - that is them riding camels!

Hi Julie, what you have created here are outstanding! Such a perfect way to tribute their wonderful lives. It's also great we can enlarge the photos and see the details. Just lovely :) Jenn and Jacqui

PS oh yes, we have heard of Ethel Merman :)
