For those of you who have read my blog from the beginning know that my husband and I are separated and we are working very hard to restore our relationship. We are still separated though...but I am trying to spend more and more time at the farm...our home. Many of my things are still in storage and I gave my piano to my Father. I had a large empty wall and a big need for more counter space - especially for Thanksgiving if it was to be held inside. Having little time to find something - I still think I did rather well. I found this 1940's buffet for the bargain price of $225.00. Picture #1 is a bit deceptive and does not show it's real condition though. I painted it black to match the French Country decor of the home and I am very pleased with it!
Taa Daa! The finished product!!

Awww, Julie, I was about to cry when you said you had to paint it, but it really turned out so pretty. Love it.
Psssst, Julie....you need to lower that painting over it about 8 inches or so.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'm really hoping you & your DH can work things out & get your relationship back on track. I know you can do it, with the help of the Lord.
xo,
Rhoda
Maybe more like 1 foot! Don't be mad at me, LOL.

It really is a beautiful piece. Good job!
I agree with Rhoda...I was thinking the same thing. A big mirror would look gorgeous though. That way you could put some tall candlesticks and the light would reflect. Just a thought.
HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Hugs!

Great job.. love it. Hoe all goes well.
Julie, that is just lovely!!! :)
My DH and I were divorced for a few years, and recently were remarried. It takes a lot of work, a little humility, and lots of humor and prayer, but it definitely can be done. I will keep you both in my prayers and close to my heart.
Happy Thanksgiving!
xoxo
