Oh! My Aching Neck!!!
Don and I went to Kemah, TX. yesterday afternoon. The weather was nice and there was a breeze off of Galveston Bay. There are quaint shops, wonderful restaurants and the newest addition is a wooden roller coaster. This is no ordinary roller coaster though. It is the largest wooden roller coaster built in the smallest amount of space! What does that mean? Well, for one, it meant that there were many many twists and very tight turns - jerky turns at that! To me it meant that in the middle of the intensity and excitement of it all, my neck cracked and OM gosh... I had to nurse my neck and back all night last night!
I saw the sign that read, "You must be at least 48" tall to ride this ride." but I must have missed the fine print that said, "and under 40 years old!"

Ha! That's funny! I used to love roller coasters. Until I got to be about 41 or 42. Then my love affair ended pretty darn fast. My neck just couldn't take it - felt like I was getting my brains rattled every time I got on one of those things. Ahhh, more joys of getting older....
My son has been begging to go down there and take a spin. I guess I'll let DH take him. Thanks for the warning!
Wow...that looks interesting, but I'll take your word. My neck and back is just fine and I want to keep them that way :-)
Hugs!

Oh Julie, I've never been on a roller coaster, and don't ever want to try it! I don't like heights, especially if I can just look right straight down beside my feet when I am on something very tall. Glad you are ok!
Hi Julie...wanted to let you know I have enjoyed your blog. What I have seen of your home is beautiful! Like you I love to go thrifting and decorate. I LOVE roller coasters but those wood ones are very hard on the body! Will be back to visit soon! cherry
You crack me up girly!
