Window Boxes

One of my favorite blogs to follow is Cindy's (Romantic Home)..plus she was a huge help to me when I started my blog and could not figure out how to change and adjust things! Thanks Cindy.

Anyway, a while back Cindy posted a picture of a beautiful window box that had a not-so-beautiful price tag attached to it. Oh, how I wanted one (or 2) for either side of our barn though.. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that it should be the beautiful plants IN the window box that catch your attention and not the window box itself.. so instead of spending $150.00 each, I found 2 36" plain window boxes at the bargain price of $15.00 each. Ironically, recently Cindy also posted a great blog about working with what you have and making the best of it, instead of whining about what you may not be able to attain!

You are so right...it should be about the plants!! Those look beautiful!

You got that right...the plants should be the centerpiece...the thing you see first...before long you won't even see the planter...by the way...I have always thought I was "pretty" good at deciphering what plants are what...but I don't know if it's the ole eyes or what...and I'm probably going to have a "duh" moment when you let me know...but WHAT are those beautiful pink blooms???

Blessings your way...

Oh I love window boxes. These are gorgeous. I have mandavilla in planters on my front porch and out by the pool in the same color. Beautiful.

Hugs!
