Ya'll are going to hate me....

...but I have a confession to make. I start to plan for the holidays in July! I know that there are those of you out there that are so organized that you don't have to even think about it until October, but in the past when I have done that, the only thing that happens is that I have to give up what I want to do for what I have to do and I end up feeling rushed and unhappy. I have a full time job which is quite far away from where our farm is. The farm chores also eat up a part of my day, so in July I start to Christmas shop for my immediate family and closest friends. I start going through all of my favorite saved Christmas magazines and make lists....lots and lots of lists.

I wish I was that organized! Most of my shopping is for my kids and they change their mind on what they want a million times between July and December which makes it hard.

Oh yes, I've heard of Christmas in July! One of my friends puts up 7 trees on thanksgiving! She's a bit nutsy! I wish I was so inspired to start my christmas planning early.

Hi Julie

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving your sweet comment. Yes, you can use the reindeer cookie idea. They're very easy to make and the kids all love them.

I enjoyed my visit here at your blog and will come back.

Hugs!
Kat

I KNEW there were more of us out there! I did a post a couple of weeks ago about Christmas. I have a Christmas fetish. Just can't get enough of it. In fact, I just started making a new Advent calendar...don't know who I'm making it for, just felt the need to get started on it. My best friend is the original Grinch (opposites attract, don't they). Back when we leaved near each other and she still had her youngest child at home, I would go over and put her tree up for her because she refused to do it. Lazy wench. lol
I hope you post a ton of pictures when you start your holiday decorating. Those are my absolute favorite things to look at in someone's blog. :)
