It has been terribly hot here in Texas and except for one night where our farm was blessed with 5 1/2 inches of rain, we have been in a severe drought! Everyday it has been in the low 100's but with the high humidity the heat index has been closer to 110 every day! Whewwww - now that is HOT!
I am too embarrassed to post pics of my veggie garden. The heat has kept me away except for a few quick harvests of corn, bell peppers and tomatoes. My carrots were a no show this year...but the weeds were more than happy to take the place of the carrots... :0(
So whats a girl gardener to do??? Well my answer to that is to find inspirational photos for NEXT YEARS VEGGIE GARDEN!

Yay for raised beds!!
Inspirational is right! I am certainly inspired. I've been mulling over the thought of raised beds for a couple of years now. This Texas soil is just too clay-like for any sort of easy gardening. I've just about reached the conclusion that raised beds are the only way to go. Now if I could just convince myself to actually put in the work to build them. lol
Love that first idea.
BTW...it's HOT and HUMID here too!
Hugs!

Just about the time you were having a heat wave, we were too. Last Sunday it was 107 here. Today by contrast was 77 when I got home from work and when I last checked it had dropped to 73 already. So nice to have it be cool. I love those inspiration photos of the raised beds. Looks great!
