This intruder (would be) had bragged to me on a previous occasion that he had outstanding sexual assault charges against him in a different county & told me how he assaulted the lady who runs our village shop. I knew his story was pure imagination as I knew the shop & layout & had had the story from a reliable source a few days before his first appearance up here. This second time he had purposely come to see me after getting out of prison, the first time he claimed to be up here looking for someone who left my house 12 years ago & whom I did not know. At 2.30 it took the Gards 3/4 hour to reach me, 1 station being 12 miles away & the one I'm supposedly covered by being 16! That was on emergency. The male Gard I spoke with when I was rung bacvk was glad I'd stayed in the house after screaming st the second man like a Banshee.

Your concern at the time was for your daughters & other things fly out of your mind. First time that man came I had a male friend sleeping on the sofa & wasn't afraid until afterwards. The second time there was myself & 13 year old daughter (plus several dogs) in the house.

Nobody told me about my ex, not his mother, his father, his first wife or anyone in the music world in which we moved. & when I ran with my bleeding 5 year old to a neighbour's house, they didn't want to be involved until I scvreamed in their driveway as he tried dragging me aw3ay by my hair & then ran back to my house & slammed the door...

I hope I never meet wife no 3 or I'd feel duty bound to warn her, but she'll think I'm just a jealous bitter old (47!) crone. My parents asked me what they should get for his birthday & I told them he'd be gone before then, but had no idea my younger daughter would be scarred as a resultKillihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13175513884016706612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-419588302716400997.post-38412684529147839222007-10-29T15:42:00.000-05:002007-10-29T15:42:00.000-05:00Thank goodness for little voices to keep us safe a...Thank goodness for little voices to keep us safe and out of harm's way. Just the fact that he zeroed in on you despite your having two small children with you proves that he was more than just a freak...he was a dangerous freak.
I, too believe in listening to one's inner voice. I read Gavin DeBecker's book about just that topic, and how to protect ourselves in dangerous situations. It is called, THe Gift of Fear, and every woman should read it!

LindaElle Jay Beehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17045994700772740593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-419588302716400997.post-36716316152426684142007-10-19T20:07:00.000-05:002007-10-19T20:07:00.000-05:00Oh Julie how how awful!
